Community Advocates take positions on issues impacting the community. The community advocate's goal is to insure that the community's rights are balanced against individual and property rights.
Communities that DO NOT Work and Prosper
Leaders are threatened by citizen involvement and input.
Leaders try to use their power to decide for others.
Leaders attempt to convince citizens to follow a predetermined course
of action.
Communities that Work and Prosper
Leaders listen as often as they talk and can both win and lose
gracefully
Leaders use their power to bring people together
Leaders strive to create win-win solutions.
